In MCU (Mackie Control Emulation) mode, the X-Touch Compact is compatible with nearly every popular professional audio production software and pre-configured for seamless integration. When switched to control mode, it transforms into a powerful, user-definable USB controller with 5-pin MIDI integration that can be edited with Behringer's free downloadable app.

The control surface is loaded with 9 touch-activated, motorized faders, 16 rotary encoders with LED halos, 39 illuminated buttons (including dedicated transport controls), MIDI ports for external hardware, and a footswitch controller input for external remote control.
