Part of Behringer’s immensely popular and ultra-affordable “Producer Series,” desktop-sized semi-modular synths, Spice blends an all-analog signal path, semi-modular architecture, and MIDI connectivity with Polyrhythmic sequencing. The result is a massive range of fat sonics and complex rhythmic creative control for the live stage or studio.

For true analog sound generation, Spice is equipped with two primary VCOs, each capable of generating square and sawtooth waveforms, plus two thunderous sub-oscillators each. Although technically a mono-synth, stacking Oscillators makes it possible to conjure layered pseudo-polyphonic sounds, adding six notes at a time capability across multiple octaves. In the VCA section, the classic 24dB ladder filter features cutoff and resonance controls for an authentic fat, old-school analog punch. The amplifier section (VCA) provides hands-on note shaping and controls for attack, decay, and envelope for the VCF--Spice brings floor-shaking lows, white-hot highs, and complex textures to your fingertips.

Spice adds another layer of inspiration to its massive sonic pallet. Its two 4-step analog sequencers and polyrhythmic capabilities allow users to create overlapping patterns and sequences, with variable quantizers for interval setting or creative control over range, interval, and fine-tuning. Tempo/rate can be routed to the internal clock or manually adjusted on the control surface. The semi-modular normalized architecture means all essential routing is internally wired, with the option for advanced control, with the 16x16 CV patch bay. Spice can be used as a standalone desktop synth with other semi-module gear or digitally joined MIDI implementation, MIDI channel, and voice priority. This rhythmically advanced, vintage-vibe analog synth is as easy and affordable to operate.

  • Desktop format analog polyrhythmic mono-synth with digital connectivity
  • 2 VCOs with 4 Subharmonic Oscillators for polyphonic style performance
  • 2 Envelope Generators
  • Classic 24dB “ladder-filter”
  • Dual 4-step polyrhythmic sequencing
  • Semi-modular 16x16 CV patch bay
  • MIDI In/Out/Thru/USB
