    The CS1-FA is a complete Channel Strip - featuring a tube Preamp, a passive Parametric EQ, and a FET attenuator Limiter. The limiter has a single band of parametric EQ in the sidechain circuitry that lets the limiter be used for De-essing or De-Splosing. There is also a headphone amplifier with Level control, that monitors whatever the VU meter displays ( Preamp output, Limiter output, and Gain Reduction). When the Meter Switch is in the GR position, the phones monitor the output of the sidechain filer so you can tune the De-ees or De-plos by ear.
    The Preamp section is a three tube design in the vintage Putnam console style, with continuous Gain and Level controls. The Equalizer is a passive parametric three-band EQ in the classic Pultec style,
    with all the familiar frequencies and curves of the EQP-1A. The Limiter section is a unique two tube implementation of the UREI 1176, preserving the FET attenuator character and controls of the original, while delivering a smooth vacuum tube sound of it’s own.
